We welcome new members, experienced or not, and offer training to beginners.
The Club is affiliated to the BMFA (British Model Flying Association) and all club members must also have BMFA membership which includes insurance cover. Safety in flying, to both members and the public, is of prime importance, and this is fostered by the Club’s Rules and practices and by guidelines from the BMFA. The Club has a child protection policy which has to be followed by members and by the parent or prime responsible person of any under-18 wishing to join.
Membership costs in 2012:
Club joining fee (one-off) £10
Club subscription (senior) £40
Club subscription (U-18) £ free
BMFA subscription (senior) £31
BMFA subscription (U-18) £16
Members can choose whether to pay their BMFA subs via the Club or direct (same cost).
From July each year, Club and BMFA fees reduce. Subscriptions taken out in December are valid through the whole of the following year - “13 for 12”.
